  • Adnan Ahmed

    President and Chief Executive Officer

    Adnan Ahmed leads Marketwired's corporate vision, business direction and global strategy. Most recently, he served as Marketwired's Chief Strategy Officer and General Manager, where he set the long-term direction for the business and led day-to-day operations. Adnan also spearheaded the development of Marketwired Resonate, the company's next-generation SaaS-based social communications platform. Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager, tradePortal.dnb, for Dun & Bradstreet where he conceived and launched D&B's first global B2B marketplace to connect buyers and suppliers. Earlier, as Vice President, Corporate Strategy he helped lead D&B's entry into the Data-as-a-Service space and significantly improved the company's footprint in high-growth international markets such as China. Prior to that, he was a managing partner at Vergence Consulting, where he provided strategy and operations consulting to private equity-owned companies. He has also held a number of other senior leadership positions at reputed companies including Danaher, Motorola and Bain & Company. Adnan received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Dartmouth College, and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

    Vice President, Human Resources

    Dorothy Arturi leads Marketwired's human resources function including talent acquisition and management, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, and payroll. As an HR leader with a wealth of experience in talent improvement and change management, Dorothy brings focus and leadership to Marketwired at a time when our people are one of our most critical assets. Prior to joining Marketwired, Dorothy led the HR function for Mark Anthony Brands where she was a member of the Canadian Senior Leadership team and was responsible for providing full-spectrum human resources leadership. In this role, she was able to drive significant improvement in employee engagement and talent planning and was instrumental in the development of the company's strategic and operational business plans. Prior to that, she held senior HR leadership roles in various companies including Swiss Herbal Remedies, Magnotta Winery and Reitmans. Dorothy received her Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources from Ryerson University and is a Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE).

    Stephen Devito oversees the Company's worldwide finance organization with responsibility for financial reporting, tax and legal matters, investor relations, and mergers and acquisitions. In conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, Stephen is instrumental in determining the organization's business and financial strategies. With over 13 years of financial, operational and strategic planning experience in both private and public companies, Stephen has succeeded in taking companies through rapid growth and expansion, including initial public offerings, hostile take-over bids, restructurings, and more. Stephen joined Marketwired in 2008 after leaving his post of CFO at Second Cup Royalty Income Fund (TSX: SCU.UN), the largest franchiser of specialty coffee cafés in Canada. Prior to Second Cup, Stephen held leadership roles at DWL Incorporated, a fast-growing CRM solutions company specializing in the insurance area, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the world's largest professional services firm and Schwartz Levitsky Feldman LLP, a mid-sized professional services firm with head offices in Toronto and Montreal. Stephen is a designated Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.

    Mark Dillon heads Marketwired's global sales. Most recently he served as Vice President, Central Region for Conversant, Inc. leading to its $2.3 billion acquisition by Alliance Data (NYSE: ADS). Prior to Conversant, Mark was Senior Vice President of Sales and member of the executive team for quadrantONE, a joint venture of Gannett, Hearst, The New York Times Company and Tribune. He also served as SVP, Media Group at United Online where he was responsible for the advertising sales of Adcurate, Classmates, NetZero and Juno. Prior to UOL, Mark opened the Chicago and Detroit offices for Advertising.com, a division of AOL, where he was part of the sales management team that contributed to a six-fold increase in revenue and ultimately to the $497 million acquisition by AOL/Time Warner. He opened the Midwest and Southwest sales offices for Ziff-Davis's ZDNet, which grew revenue from zero to over $100 million in less than four years and led to the $1.7 billion acquisition of ZDNet by CNET Networks. Mark received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Clark has served in a variety of IT and security leadership roles in multinational firms in information and communications technology, utility and education sectors. Most recently, he served as the CIO at the University of Lethbridge and on the boards of a variety of post-secondary and research organizations. Prior to joining the university, Clark worked with an electric power utility (BC Hydro) and telecommunications firms (Bell ExpressVu, Bell, Nortel and Bell Northern Research) leading IT infrastructure, telecommunications and security programs. Throughout his career, Clark has worked on a variety of IT and business service improvement programs, drawing on the broad systems knowledge gained through his early security work and experience establishing business-focused IT teams. Clark completed Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, and has an MBA from the University of Ottawa.

Most recently, Sylvie held the role of Vice President, Global Partners and Channel Sales at Critical Mention where she led the development and optimization of the organization's global partnership strategy. Previously, Sylvie was Vice President, Global Partners and Channel Sales at Sysomos where she closed the largest partner in the company's history. Before that, she served as Vice President, Eastern US Sales at Marketwired where she grew revenue from $3 million to $20 million in four years and moved the sales team from a transactional to a SaaS sales process. Previous positions include serving as Vice President of Sales at Listlogix, a division of PIMS US, Vice President of Sales at Ventriloquist Voice Solutions International, Inc. and Vice President, Sales at Canadian Corporate News. Sylvie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Montréal.

Sanjay joins Marketwired from Deloitte, where he was responsible for developing and driving strategy aimed at improving the firm's many services. Prior to Deloitte, Sanjay spent nearly six years at ADP Canada, where as Vice President of Product Management he was responsible for product strategy, pricing, product management and marketing, and product P&L. While at ADP, Sanjay drove innovation to launch a new cloud-based HR portal that generated over 200% of planned sales in its first year. He also led cross-functional migration initiatives to upgrade customers from legacy products to the new platform. Prior to ADP, Sanjay held senior marketing roles at Resolve Corporation and Allstream. Sanjay holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

As vice president of product development for RealPage, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand software solutions for the rental housing industry, he laid out the vision, managed product development and built performance management applications that enabled customers to monitor, analyze and plan portfolio performance from a central location. Prior to RealPage, Suresh was a senior systems analyst at SRA Systems Ltd. in Chennai, India. As director of customer programs at BCE Emergis e-News Services, she implemented business processes that moved the newswire to a web-based platform. She lends ongoing support for organizations such as the Association of Electronic Journalists (RTNDA Canada), the voice for electronic journalists and news managers in Canada. Bernadette holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Administration & Information Management from Ryerson University, Toronto.

Nina articled and served as an associate at Gowlings, one of Canada's largest law firms, in its litigation department. Nina holds a Bachelor of Arts in History (First Class Honours) from McGill University, and received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario Bar).
