Mr Jarmo MÄENPÄÄ has been appointed President of Tikkurila Paints Oy. His main responsibility will be Tikkurila's decorative paints business in Finland. Mr Mäenpää will report to Mr Visa Pekkarinen who will continue as the head of Tikkurila Deco, a new group formed in April 2001 by the operative functions of Tikkurila Paints Oy and Alcro-Beckers AB.
Ms Seija VARILA has been appointed Vice President, Product Development, for Tikkurila Deco Finland. She will bear responsibility for the operative management of Tikkurila Deco's product development in Finland. Ms Varila will report to Mr Ilkka Sarvimäki, Vice President, with responsibity for technology within the Tikkurila Group.
Mr Erkki HIETANEN has been appointed Project Manager for the Tikkurila Group. His responsibilities will include developing the purchasing function and special tasks in the Group's Russian subsidiaries. Mr Hietanen will report to Mr Ilkka Sarvimäki.
All the above mentioned appointments will become effective as from 1 June 2001.
