Zeer Announces Formation of Advisory Board

Bringing Deep Experience in Food Information, Social Media, Retail and Technology


CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - December 3, 2008) - Zeer (www.zeer.com), a grocery community that connects people to food product information, interest-specific communities and consumer reviews, today announced the formation of its advisory board. The Zeer Advisory Board includes six accomplished industry executives across the web, retail, technology, and food product industries. The advisory board has been formed to help the company reach its goal of helping consumers to "buy better groceries."

The Zeer Advisory Board includes the following members:

--  David Cooperstein, Chief Marketing Officer, Burst Media:  David joined
    Burst in 2007 as Chief Marketing Officer where he is responsible for
    marketing, business development and strategy for one of the original online
    ad networks. He has spent the bulk of his career in strategic marketing and
    consulting roles, and has been involved in Internet strategy since the
    early 1990s. He joined Burst Media from Boston-based social networking and
    social media site Gather.com, where he was part of the founding team and
    set the guidelines for community management and crafted initial
    partnerships with content providers.
    
--  Kate Delhagen, Sales Director, Nike Running:  Kate oversees all
    planning and go-to-market execution for Nike's US Running footwear,
    apparel, and equipment businesses. She was previously the General
    Manager of US Running, and the Strategic Planning Director for Nike's USA
    Region.  Prior to her work at Nike, Kate was the VP of Retail Research and
    Consulting at Forrester Research, and VP of Business Development
    and founding team member of Lucy.com, a women's apparel retailer recently
    acquired by VF Corp. Earlier in her career Kate was Group Product Manager
    at Starwave (launching ESPN.com, Outside.com, and other web sites),
    Marketing Director for Backpacker magazine and an editor at Runner's World
    magazine.
    
--  Barnaby Dorfman, Founder and CEO, Foodista.com: Barnaby is founder and
    CEO of Foodista.com, a Seattle-based food and cooking Internet startup.
    Barnaby has been an entrepreneur and executive in the consumer Internet
    space for over a decade. After Amazon.com acquired Bibliofind.com in 1999,
    where he was general manager, Barnaby led a team to define new product
    categories, including the Amazon Gourmet Food Store.
    
--  Jason Gracilieri, Co-Founder, Former Director of Marketing and
    Operations at Sconex.com: Jason is a Boston-based technology entrepreneur
    most recently co-founding, and serving as Director of Marketing and
    Operations for Sconex.com, a social networking site for high school
    students. Jason oversaw customer acquisition and management at the company,
    growing the service to over 1MM registered users before its acquisition by
    Alloy in March of 2006. Prior to Sconex, Jason was co-founder and President
    of Applied Reason and Technology, a software company providing products to
    capture, manage and search unstructured information. Before Applied, Jason
    worked as a Consultant at Monitor Group and a Communications Engineer at
    SpaceDev where he developed technology to support satellite communications
    via the Internet.
    
--  Tom Putnam, Former President and Chairman, MARKEM Corporation: Tom has
    been a long-time leader of innovation, quality and reliability at MARKEM
    Corporation, (now markem-imaje) a world-leader in product identification
    and traceability solutions. He led the reinvention of the company as it
    moved from contact-based printing machines into fully digital systems,
    software and services. Tom has also been a long-time champion of the arts.
    He is a member of the board and past President of the MacDowell Colony, an
    artist residency program in Peterborough, New Hampshire, and board member
    and past Chairman of the Business Committee for the Arts.
    
--  Dr. Benjamin Ruedlinger, EVP and VP of Engineering, Wistia:  Benjamin
    is currently EVP and VP of Engineering at Wistia, Inc., a provider of
    software as a service solutions for business video. Previously, he was CTO
    of social media platform Top Ten Sources acquired by MeeVee, Inc in June
    2007. In addition, he founded the algorithms based blog tracking service,
    Blogniscient, which Top Ten Sources acquired in June of 2006.
