LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - March 9, 2010) - Los Angeles's own Angeles Chorale, the
Passionate Voice of Los Angeles, will hold its annual spring concert at the
First United Methodist Church in Pasadena, CA on March 20th, 2010. The
Chorale celebrates the American musical experience through the finest
choral music in America, exclusively featuring American composers and
poets.
Widely recognized as the region's finest chorale groups, the Angeles
Chorale will be featuring the west coast premiere of a new original work by
composer and conductor Anthony Maglione entitled "Out of the Depths."
"The United States of America is a land rich in musical heritage. From the
simple folk tune, to the spiritual, to the contemporary works of modern
composers, American music depicts the character of a nation built on
diversity, constantly striving to greet the future with hope and optimism,"
Maglione said.
Works to be featured include pieces by composers Aaron Copeland, Leonard
Bernstein, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Stephen Foster, William Dawson,
Moses Hogan, Charles Ives, and Morton Lauridsen.

WHO: The 120-member Angeles Chorale will perform dynamic chorale
arrangements of exclusively American music. The Angeles Chorale is
a volunteer organization of auditioned, professional-level choral
singers and its mission is to present choral concerts of the highest
