$4.7 Million The Pick Jackpot Claimed

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - October 28, 2010) -  A winner has come forward to claim the $4.7 million The Pick jackpot from the drawing on Wednesday, Oct. 20.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket at the Circle K located at 1505 N. Oracle Rd. in Tucson.

After previously purchasing a 10-line, multi-draw The Pick ticket with his own numbers, the winner made a stop at a nearby convenience store, Circle K. He made a spur of the moment decision to buy one QuickPick ticket, which turned out to be the winning numbers.

"I hadn't really been paying attention to the amount of the jackpot, so I had no idea how much I'd won until the Lottery told me!" said the winner.

He is still undecided on how he will use the winnings.

"This is the highest The Pick jackpot has been since April," said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. "The Pick is Arizona's own jackpot game, so it is especially gratifying to award this check to the winner."

Winning numbers for The Pick are broadcast Wednesday and Saturday during the 10 p.m. news on Channel 13 (CBS) in Tucson and posted on www.ABC15.com in Phoenix.

Players can check their numbers by logging onto www.ArizonaLottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotline at 480-829-PICK in Phoenix and 1-800-499-3798 in all other Arizona areas. Players can also opt-in to receive winning number text alerts by texting "AZLOT" to 411247.
