Ellis Pines, vice president of Digital Strategy for TMP Government, a division of TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications, LLC, a global talent acquisition company.

WHAT:
Will serve as moderator of the "Employer Branding" panel discussion to be held during the Talent Management Alliance's Government Talent Management Summit.

WHEN:
The summit will take place from Tuesday, September 18 - Wednesday, September 19, 2012.

The "Employer Branding" panel will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 1:15 p.m.

WHERE:
Government Talent Management Summit
Grand Hyatt Washington
1000 H Street NW
Washington, D.C.

DETAILS:
Despite the roles federal agencies play in protecting the American people, promoting economic prosperity and ensuring the financial security of the U.S., federal employees have become targets of public criticism. However, when critics portray the government as overpaid and underperforming, they not only hurt the morale of current employees but also make it difficult for agencies to attract top talent to federal service.

With this in mind, Ellis Pines, vice president of Digital Strategy for TMP Government, will moderate a panel discussion on how government agencies can improve their employer branding. During this session, Pines will be joined by Susan Salter, chief of the Outreach and Recruitment Branch, Office of Human Resources for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Kevin Tyrrell, HR specialist, Marketing and Media for the Internal Revenue Service's Recruitment Office; and Scott Harwood, human capital initiatives manager and director of Acquisition Career Management for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition), to discuss ways that federal agencies can build their talent brand and attract and recruit qualified candidates to their organizations.

Attendees will learn a number of strategies for improving their employer brand, including how to utilize current employees as talent recruitment ambassadors; establish who they are, how they benefit the citizenry and what opportunities and career paths can be offered; turn employer branding into a continuous process rather than a one-time campaign; and reach millennials who desire meaningful work.

HR professionals, recruiters and directors of government agencies who wish to learn how they can enhance their employer brand to attract top talent to work for their agencies are encouraged to attend this informative session.
