Game On Opens East Coast's Biggest Full Performance Motion Capture Studio


MONTREAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 1, 2013) - The leader in gaming sound production brings a new expertise to Montreal's flourishing gaming industry.

Game On is extending its realm of expertise by opening Montreal's biggest motion capture studio to this date. The 6,000 square feet studio, installed in a former CBC studio is one of the few to offer real full performance capture in North America. Its noise floor and overall acoustic allows the recording of studio quality final audio.

Game On's Mocap studio benefits from a 25 foot clearance, allowing greater motion capacity which can be captured using the studio's custom made stunt rig designed to capture movement scenes from a height of 21 feet and through a 50 independent camera system, offering stuntmen more acting space and flexibility. Its high-tech setting lets Game On capture every level of detail, from full-body to facial or finger capture.

The studio has state-of-the-art infrastructures including a 50 cameras motion capture system, wireless facial capture and a recording studio with a Solid-State-Logic audio console. It also features an extensive supply of stunt mats and modular platforms and a soundproofed stage with very low noise floor at -80 dB RMS FS providing sound quality comparable to a recording studio.
