Industrial-Organizational Psychology Expert Jared Ferrell Joins Shaker Consulting Group

Ferrell to Play Key Role in the Development and Ongoing Innovation of Shaker's Industry-Leading Virtual Job Tryout(R) Pre-Hire Assessments


CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - May 21, 2014) - Shaker Consulting Group, the market leader in custom simulations for pre-employment testing, today announced it has appointed Jared Ferrell as a consultant with the company's Virtual Job Tryout® Design/Build team. In this role, he is responsible for developing and validating high-volume, high-fidelity Virtual Job Tryout pre-hire assessments. This includes conducting job analyses, developing assessment content and performing validation analyses to maximize the predictive capabilities of the solution.

Prior to this role, Ferrell served as an intern with Shaker, in which he gained experience in best practices for talent selection, performed validation studies and developed assessment and interview items. He previously worked for the Center for Organizational Research as a consultant, where he was involved in data analysis, selection battery development and leading focus groups to gauge different aspects of organizational effectiveness. In addition to his professional experience, Ferrell holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron. He is expected to complete his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron in December 2014.
