Top Safety Cultures Awards Program 2014

CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - May 22, 2014) - The Top Safety Cultures Awards Program -- a joint project between JuneWarren-Nickle's Energy Group and TalentClick Workforce Solutions -- is a new initiative to recognize companies with excellent safety cultures.

Ask any company in the oil & gas industry about their top priorities and safety usually ranks at or near the top of the list. And it should. Worksites can be dangerous, especially when outside contractors are involved.

Companies with great safety cultures -- where safety is always top-of-mind and goes beyond simply adhering to rules and regulations -- have a distinct advantage over their competitors. Yes, they can reduce costs and downtime, but having a reputation for a safe work environment is also a plus in an era when it is difficult to find and attract good people.

Based on validated and applied industry research in industrial psychology and organizational effectiveness, the program will give companies valuable insight into patterns, trends and ultimately, a safety-culture score, to let them know where they stand.

Winners will be recognized during an awards luncheon at the Calgary Petroleum Club on September 16. As well, every company that applies will receive a report with valuable safety data on their organization and useful business intelligence for decision support around safety initiatives, culture, employer branding, employee engagement, and more.
