Courtyard Hotel in Brookline Celebrates the 118th Boston Marathon

BROOKLINE, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 6, 2014) - The words Boston Strong evoke images of a pride and potency in a city built on the foundations of our nation's oldest principles. Never is this spirit more alive than during the city's annual Boston Marathon, now in its 118^th year. This year, Courtyard Boston Hotel in Brookline invited guests and runners to share in that celebration of pride.

The staff, proudly displaying B Strong T-shirts, welcomed marathon guests with warm smiles, cookies, iced tea, and flavored water in the lobby. Once guests settled in, they were greeted with a bottle of wine and directions to the event's finish line. On Marathon Day, the hotel Bistro opened at 5:30 AM and distributed boxed breakfasts to runners, including fresh, whole fruit, energy bars, and bottled water.

Throughout the day, hotel staff passed out Boston Strong stickers to the friends, families, and guests, all gathered to cheer on the runners in their race to the finish. The symbolism, pride, and strength of spirit displayed by those in attendance made for a truly once-in-a-lifetime moment. This year's event was a celebration of the community and its unyielding courage.

Upon the runners' return, between 2:00 and 5:00 PM, hotel guests and associates clapped and helped hand out refreshments. The Bistro was decked out with trays of whole fruit, Boston Marathon colored balloons, energy bars, and endless amounts of water and Gatorade.

"We have stayed at your hotel many times but this time I was so impressed by you and your staff going out of your way to get into the spirit of the marathon," one guest wrote. "Your team's enthusiasm, professionalism, caring and smiles helped us and all of your guests feel very welcomed."

Near Boston University, the hotel offered guests the perfect setting from which to enjoy this year's event, with easy access to the city and the many festivities surrounding the race.
