Earth Alive and Brenntag Sign Exclusive Distribution Agreement in Chile

MONTREAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - May 4, 2015) - Earth Alive Clean Technologies (CSE:EAC) ("Earth Alive") has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Brenntag (XETRA:BNR) for the distribution of its EA-1 microbial dust control product in Chile.

"This agreement with Brenntag is a logical step forward for both companies, since the Brenntag Corporation is already our exclusive blending partner for the EA-1 product in various countries around the world," said David Gilmour, CEO of Earth Alive. "Brenntag is a multinational which upholds the highest quality standards in all its operations, and we are pleased and honored that Brenntag has chosen to offer our EA-1 dust control technology to their large mining client base in Chile."

"The need for an innovative and environmentally sustainable dust control technology in the mining industry is growing every day around the world. This is particularly true in Chile, where the conventional use of synthetic chemicals to control road dust on mine sites is coming under increasing scrutiny by governments, corporations, activist groups and local communities," said Marcelo Soutullo, Earth Alive's Vice President of Dust Control operations. "With the availability of EA-1's innovative microbial dust control technology, modern mining operations no longer need to use toxic chemicals and/or large quantities of fresh water to effectively control the harmful effects of road dust on human health, the environment, and mine productivity."

As a valuable added benefit, the EA-1 microbial technology also helps remediate mining roads contaminated by hydrocarbons and other chemicals during a mine's operational years; leaving a clean site behind when mining operations have ended is a great challenge for mining companies.

Mr. Soutullo further added, "EA-1 was first developed and tested for, and is used by, the largest gold mining site in Chile, where the harshest and most demanding dust control conditions exist. The performance and economic benefits of our technology have been repeatedly proven beyond doubt, and this strategic distribution alliance with Brenntag will position EA-1 as a strong environmentally sustainable alternative in the burgeoning Chilean mining market".

Mr. Claudio Carvajal, Mining Regional Manager - South Cone LA of Brenntag, added, "By offering Earth Alive's EA-1 dust control technology to our valued clients all over Chile, Brenntag will once again strengthen its position as one of the principal purveyors of high quality products to the mining industry. Regional environmental regulations are increasingly demanding, and we've chosen to deliver EA-1 to our clients because its product offering is unique in the marketplace; it is economically viable to use, and it is completely harmless to humans and the environment."
