Brig. General Paul H. McGillicuddy (USAF, Ret.) Joins Irving A. Backman & Assoc., LLC and The DATT Group as Technology Advisor, Environmental Initiatives


DEDHAM, MA--(Marketwired - Jul 9, 2015) - Retired USAF Brigadier General Paul H. McGillicuddy has joined environmental specialists Irving A. Backman & Associates, LLC and The DATT Group.

According to well-known environmentalist Irving A. Backman, "General McGillicuddy brings a unique technological perspective to our team.  As he explained to me, after 31 years of military service in the defense of our nation, he feels it is time to give back and there's no better way than to look for ways to reduce energy consumption, increase food production and dispose of waste more efficiently and effectively." 

General McGillicuddy was commissioned in 1984 after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy. Accumulating more than 3,600 hours of flight time, he served as an instructor and evaluator pilot, flight commander, and inspector general. The General commanded a fighter squadron, an air base wing, a reconnaissance wing, and an air expeditionary wing.

His last assignment prior to retirement was Vice Commander, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and the Deputy Joint Air Force Component Commander to the Commander, US Pacific Command. PACAF is responsible for US Air Force activities spread over half the globe, supporting 45,000 Airmen serving in Japan, Korea, Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam.

General McGillicuddy makes his home in Honolulu, HI with his wife and daughter.
