Boca West Foundation Announces Major Sports Grant

BOCA RATON, FL--(Marketwired - February 03, 2016) - The Boca West Foundation today announced a major grant from Norman Radow and the RADCO Companies in conjunction with Sally and Aubrey Strul to promote sports within the Boca Raton and South Palm Beach County areas. The grants are directed to help enlarge the golf, tennis, overnight, and swimming camps of the Foundation, servicing underprivileged, special needs, and at-risk children in the area.

Since the camps' inception in 2013, over 1,000 children have been able to participate, receiving appropriate clothing (tennis sneakers, shirts, caps, socks, goggles, sleeping bags, etc. as well as transportation and lunch). The camps are run by professional tennis instructors, golf professionals, accredited camp counselors and Boca West volunteers. The Foundation maintains that through sports, children at risk may overcome generational cycles of poverty, build self-assurance, and develop leadership skills.

The grant also allows for the Foundation to double the funding of its annual golf event to be now named, "The Boca West Foundation $200,000 Golf Challenge" held at the Boca West Country Club on April 4, 2016. The event supports the work of the Foundation's 21 projects to help children in the area. Participating children's charities are:
