Sonitec-Vortisand Technologies Inc. Receives Financial Assistance from Government of Canada


MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jan. 31, 2014) - Canada Economic Development

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Tony Clement, President of the Treasury Board, announces that Sonitec-Vortisand Technologies Inc. has been granted $257,500 in repayable financial assistance. This support, awarded through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program, will serve to help commercialize the Montréal firm's products on external markets.

  • Sonitec-Vortisand Technologies specializes in the manufacture of industrial water filtration systems. Nearly 2,500 Vortisand filters have been installed in more than 60 countries to date.
  • The company's project involves marketing the water filtration systems to Gulf Cooperation Council member countries (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates) as well as to Jordan.
