Government of Canada Welcomes Launch of 2014 Foire Gourmande Outaouais - Est ontarien Programming

MONTEBELLO, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 22, 2014) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, welcomes the launch of the official programming for this year's Foire Gourmande Outaouais - Est ontarien, which takes place August 22nd to 24th in Montebello, Quebec, and Lefaivre, Ontario. This annual gastronomy fair is a joint initiative of the Table agroalimentaire de l'Outaouais (TAO) and the Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network.

Assistance was granted to the TAO in January 2014 in the form of $104,062 in non-repayable funding through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program.

• This financial support enabled the TAO to put tools in place and organize activities, including the Foire Gourmande Outaouais - Est ontarien, to promote Outaouais agri-food businesses and their products.
• The Foire serves as an exceptional showcase for the region's products by giving visitors the opportunity to make new discoveries and by allowing participating enterprises to forge new business partnerships.
