Modernizing Collections Management at the Museum on the Boyne

Government of Canada supports enhancements to museum infrastructure in Alliston


ALLISTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 23, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing the Corporation of the Town of New Tecumseth with $4,591 through the Museums Assistance Program to support improvements to the Museum on the Boyne's collections management and environmental monitoring practices. This support will allow the Museum to migrate their data from its outdated system, confirm data integrity, and catalogue all of their collection in professional software.

The Honourable Dr. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women and Member of Parliament (Simcoe-Grey), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
