"Tyrant" Pact Reached

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Jul 29, 2014) - King Midas World Entertainment today announced that it has signed an agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation regarding the "Tyrant" mark.

The agreement calls on both parties to refrain from challenging each other's "Tyrant" mark, which is completely different in scope, type, concept, and settings, and to work together to make sure no confusion is created among the public.

The FX network's television series "'Tyrant' tells the story of an unassuming American family drawn into the inner workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation," according to its website. The dramatic series follows the story of Bassam "Barry" Al-Fayeed in the fictional country of Baladi.

King Midas features Michael Tiranno, "The Tyrant," a new superhero action thriller adventure franchise. Also identified as Tyrant Knight, the property is in the active stages of development in films, comics, interactive media, gaming, and branding. The concept and book series, created by Fabrizio Boccardi, CEO of King Midas World Entertainment, with the intention to launch a franchise and a global brand, was initiated in 2008 with the bestseller the "Seven Sins: The Tyrant Ascending," nominated by the Library Journal a Best Thriller of The Year.

The "Tyrant" property has also been licensed by King Midas to DC Comics for comics, while a motion picture is actively in development in Hollywood, and a licensing representation agreement has been signed with Beanstalk.
