King & Spalding Recruits Regulatory Foods Partner Smitha Stansbury

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - July 30, 2014) - King & Spalding has recruited regulatory foods lawyer Smitha Stansbury as a partner in its FDA and life sciences practice in the firm's Washington, D.C., office. Stansbury joins King & Spalding from Squire Patton Boggs.

Stansbury focuses her practice on regulatory matters before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U. S. Department of Agriculture, Federal Trade Commission and other federal and state regulatory agencies. She has deep expertise on issues relating to the FDA's regulation of food, especially matters involving food safety, labeling and advertising. Stansbury also has substantial experience in providing regulatory advice on the development, promotion and sale of foods, dietary supplements, tobacco products, pharmaceutical drugs, cosmetics and medical devices. She received a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Virginia.
