Orca Gold Increases Interest in Block 14 to 70%


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sept. 2, 2014) - Orca Gold Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ORG) ("Orca" or the "Company") is pleased to advise that it now has made the third and final option payment to secure an effective 70% interest in the Block 14 mineral license in Sudan.

On March 1, 2012 Orca acquired the right and option to a 70% interest in Meyas Sand Minerals Co. Ltd ("MSMCL") from Meyas Nub Multiactivities Co. Ltd. ("Meyas Nub"). MSMCL is the holder of a 100% interest in the Block 14 mineral license. Under the agreement, Orca agreed to pay USD $9.5 million in three installments in exchange for an increasing ownership interest in MSMCL. On August 28, 2014, Orca made the final acquisition payment of US$3 million to Meyas Nub and now holds a 70% interest in MSMCL.

The Block 14 license hosts the Galat Sufar South prospect which has an initial Mineral Resource comprising Indicated Resources of 22.2MT at 1.84g/t for 1.3 million ounces of gold and Inferred Resources of 6.5Mt at 1.9g/t for an additional 0.4 million ounces of gold (News Release: January 29, 2014). In addition, Orca has identified numerous other exploration targets at Block 14 including a high grade discovery at EG3.2 (News Release: May 12, 2014).
