Service Stream Selects Sumo Logic to Provide Comprehensive Insight Into Infrastructure in Order to Support Revenue Streams

Company Appoints Executive to Lead Expansion Into Asian-Pacific Markets

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 17, 2014) - Sumo Logic, the next generation machine data intelligence company, announced that Service Stream, Australia's leading provider of network services, selected Sumo Logic to obtain insights into its infrastructure and support monitoring of key performance indicators to drive revenue. Sumo Logic also announced the appointment of Stephen Cottrell as managing director of the Asia-Pacific region. This news comes as the company experiences rapid expansion and a growing customer base in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

"We see enormous opportunity in the Asia-Pacific market and working with market leaders like Service Stream is just the beginning of our growth in the region," said Vance Loiselle, president and CEO of Sumo Logic. "With Stephen on board, we are poised to accelerate our traction in this broad, diverse market."

Service Stream enables project teams to run large-scale projects in three core areas: mobile telecommunications, fixed-line telecommunications, and energy and water. The company required a solution to glean insights into the health of its critical infrastructure platforms. It was essential that the solution be a best-of-breed, SaaS service deployed in a public cloud to minimize the need for IT management and support of the system. Sumo Logic was a natural selection and additionally offered quick time-to-value and unique analytics. Critically, the company's integration with ServiceNow helps Service Stream monitor the health of their revenue-generating systems. This in turn will provide insights into the health of their contracts, which is of enormous value to the business as a whole. Service Stream is supported with Sumo Logic's new production-ready Australian data center.

To lead Sumo Logic's expansion in the region, the company appointed Stephen Cottrell to build the Asia-Pacific team to increase the region's customer base, expand the partner ecosystem and focus on customer success. Cottrell brings more than 24 years of experience in the technology industry to Sumo Logic. He spent seven years at IBM where he was responsible for data governance across the Asia-Pacific region. Cottrell also held leading positions at Princeton Softech, Autonomy, eCredit.com and PTC.

"Sumo Logic is rapidly picking up momentum with regards to its international expansion," said Cottrell. "Our successful work with Service Stream and dozens of other customers in the region serves as the confirmation that machine data analytics is a critical need in the Asia-Pacific region, and I look forward to leading the team through this phase of growth."
