Results Released for 14th Annual Survey of Casino Executives Conducted by Spectrum Gaming Group & Bristol Associates, Inc.

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 15, 2014) -  Spectrum Gaming Group, the world's foremost gaming research and professional services firm, and Bristol Associates, the gaming industry's leading executive search firm, have released the results of their 14th Internet-based national survey of casino executives to help the gaming industry attract, retain and motivate its executive talent.

The Bristol Associates/Spectrum Gaming Group Casino Executive Survey is the industry's only comprehensive employee-satisfaction survey. This unique survey has continued to expand and has had over 3,000 cumulative responses in just the last six years.

Gaming industry executives from across the country participated and all individual responses are kept confidential. Spectrum Gaming Group has analyzed the results and published them in a white paper available to subscribers of its Spectrumetrix™ publications, and participants in the survey will again receive a complimentary copy of the results. Results of the survey can be found at www.bristolassoc.com and at www.spectrumgaming.com.

Some interesting findings from the report are:

  • Penn National has captured first place as the employer of choice, just ahead of last year's favorite, Wynn. The Seminole and Mohegan tribes made notable gains, claiming third and fourth places respectively.
  • The importance of supportive supervisors took prominence as a factor in overall career fulfillment.
  • Overall optimism for individual career growth has rebounded to its 2012 level, reflecting the promise of some new growth opportunities.
  • California retains its lead as the market with most potential, while Las Vegas continues to rebound toward its pre-recession level of popularity.

"This survey is an increasingly valuable tool for gaming companies, as we can now look back for more than a decade to identify and analyze important trends and attitudes," Spectrum Managing Director Michael Pollock said. "Many gaming companies recognize the importance of motivating and rewarding their key people. Our survey identifies pathways to accomplish those goals."

Bristol Associates President Ben Farber said: "This year's survey reflects the progressive upward movement in executive satisfaction over the past five years. In addition to companies focusing on employee retention strategies, we can also draw a correlation between executive satisfaction and the recovery of our national economy, which has produced growth in most gaming jurisdictions."
