Teen Impact Affiliates Promote Cancer & Blood Disease Awareness With Fundraiser on November 9, 2014, at Sports Museum of Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 21, 2014) - Teen Impact Affiliates, supporting the Teen Impact Program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, knows the tragic devastation of cancer and blood disease. Established in 1988, the organization provides support and resources for teens and young adults, who have or once suffered from these diseases, by offering them a chance to participate in activities that could benefit their whole life's structure. With care and support for youths in Southern California, adolescents are furnished with year-round therapy groups, mentoring and leadership programs, three-day psychosocial retreats, overnight adventure therapy trips and special events, all completely free of charge. The future of these involved kids becomes better secured as they go on to finish school, hold jobs and most importantly, enjoy life!

On Sunday, November 9, 2014, the immensely private Sports Museum of Los Angeles will host Teen Impact Affiliates' 2nd Annual Fall Fundraiser and this year's event will be like no other! Showcasing the world's largest known collection of sports memorabilia, the museum, which is closed to the general public (thus making this event a rare opportunity not to miss), is filled with collectibles and unique pieces from pinnacle moments in athletic history, all owned by LA businessman, Gary Cypres. Counted among the treasures are Babe Ruth's 1934 uniform and Joe DiMaggio's record-breaking ball from his legendary 56-game hitting streak.

"We are honored to have the privilege of partnering with Mr. Cypres on this year's fundraiser and host the event in such a magnanimous space," said a Teen Impact Affiliates spokesperson. "We hope the Sports Museum will help highlight the interests and goals of our organization by raising awareness and funds for our special program!"

Together with baseball legend Reggie Smith, major sponsors of this year's fundraiser include ESPN, Disney, Viacom, The Morrison & Foerster Foundation, Hewlett-Packard, Dr. Raffi Hovsepian of Beverly Hills, and others.

Admission tickets ranging from general to VIP are available via Eventbrite.com. You may send donations there as well.
