Keek Leverages Latest Native Ad Technology to Ramp Up Monetization Strategy

Partners with MoPub and Google DFP to Tap Nearly One Billion Monthly Impressions; Geo-Targeting Mobile Advertising on App Allows Marketers to Capture On-the-Move Consumers

NEW YORK, NY and TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 30, 2014) - Keek Inc. (TSX VENTURE: KEK) (OTCQX: KEEKF) a leading global mobile video social media network with 70 million members featuring a unique 36 second video format, has teamed up with Twitter's MoPub and Google DFP, leading ad server solutions and advertiser exchanges for mobile publishers, to feature and optimize advertising on the popular Keek app.

Twitter's MoPub featured Keek's use of new native advertising technologies in its blog: http://www.mopub.com/2014/10/07/new-location-controls-for-native-ads/. Keek is also featuring geo-targeting ads where app users can click on an ad and find the closest store for purchase.

Keek reported that it offers marketers nearly one billion monthly impressions and its huge membership continues to expand in the U.S. and around the globe. The mobile video social network has gained recognition in the industry by quickly formulating and activating a monetization strategy since naming a new CEO and executive team only six months ago.

"Keek's monetization strategy is in phase one which involves direct sales, ad networks and programmatic featuring real-time bidding on exchanges," said Bill Blummer, senior vice president, monetization and sales solutions, Keek. "Dozens of advertising campaigns around the world are now active on the Keek app from brands like Coca Cola, Ikea and EA Sports. In 2015, Keek plans to develop in app micro purchases and affiliate revenue streams."

According to an eMarketer report, spending on native ads on social sites alone is expected to increase to $5 billion by 2017. Keek says its outlook is strong as marketers allocate more spend to social networks and mobile advertising. In addition, Keek's business is scalable and its sought after impressions will continue to grow as the user base grows.

With some of MoPub's new technologies, Keek can balance content and ads optimally, as well as place ads in different parts of the Keek app to determine impact on revenue immediately without sacrificing the user experience. "Being able to change the ad targeting and ad location without any app updates means we can experiment with ad placements and load them without interrupting the user experience," said Blummer.
