Star Navigation Receives Transport Canada Provisional STC for Learjet 45

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 30, 2014) - Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SNA) ("Star" or the "Company"), is very pleased to announce that Transport Canada has granted it a provisional Supplemental Type Certificate ("STC"), with respect to the installation of its STAR-A.D.S.™ system on a Learjet 45 aircraft operated by Skyservice Business Aviation Inc. ( see Press Release July 7, 2014). STC's are required when changes (such as the installation of the STAR-A.D.S.™ system) are made to an aircraft.

This STC is a result of the efforts of Star's recently formed internal STC Group. Prior to the formation of the STC Group, STC's were contracted out to third party providers, an expensive and time consuming process.

Viraf S. Kapadia, Chairman and CEO of Star said, "We are very pleased to receive this STC for the Learjet 45, and we are especially pleased by the efforts of our new STC Group. This provisional STC was granted in record time and at a very significantly reduced cost to the Company. We look forward to receiving the final STC in short order and to completing the start-up phase of the Skyservice contract."
