The purpose of the event is to introduce a new generation of financial technology (fin-tech) investing platforms called Texas Crowdfunding Portals (TCPs) that will soon be providing equity investment opportunities to more than 20 million new Texas investors, who will have the legal right (when the TCP is approved by Texas State Securities Board) to invest up to $5,000 per startup company as angel investors.
