DEKRA North America Hires Joel Pekay as Vice President of Business Development for Consumer Goods

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Mar 2, 2015) - DEKRA North America (NA), Inc. today announced that Joel Pekay has joined the company in the new role of Vice President, Business Development for Consumer Goods. Pekay will focus on helping businesses develop compliance, safety, quality, and social compliance strategies that mitigate risk and create a competitive advantage in their industries.

Pekay will report directly to Donald O. Nicholson, President and Chief Regional Officer of DEKRA NA, and will serve as a member of the DEKRA North America executive management team.

Pekay has over 24 years of experience in marketing, sales, business affairs, and corporate development at both large, publicly-traded companies and small, privately-held organizations across a wide range of industries including technology, communications, Internet, and wireless companies. 

Prior to joining DEKRA, he was the Marketing Director for Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals and the Global Marketing and Business Development Director for Health, Environmental, and Regulatory at Intertek, a leading provider of quality, safety, testing, inspection, and certification services. Before that, he led global marketing and business management for Underwriter Laboratories Restricted Substances division.
