Parish Municipality of Saint-Edouard-de-Fabre in Abitibi-Temiscamingue receives funding from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions for community hall expansion and renovation


SAINT-ÉDOUARD-DE-FABRE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 26, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the Parish Municipality of Saint-Édouard-de-Fabre has been granted financial assistance for the improvement and expansion of its existing community hall.

This support has been awarded in the form of a $100,000 non-repayable contribution through the Local Investment Initiative (LII), a component of CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

  • The funds enabled the Parish Municipality of Saint-Édouard-de-Fabre to renovate the interior of the building in order to enlarge the community hall, which required demolition, reconstruction and modernization work.

  • The LII, a temporary initiative specific to CED, helps promote economic development capacity-building for the long-term benefit of Quebec communities.
