Battelle Wins $30 Million Contract to Perform Logistics Process and Analytical Support for the U.S. Army

Contract to Provide Analytical, Technical, Integration, Concept Development, and Short- and Long-range Planning Support at the Pentagon

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwired - May 28, 2015) - The Department of the Army has selected Battelle to provide Logistics Process and Analytical Support (LOGPAS) services for Army G-4. The work, awarded on our One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) contract vehicle, has an estimated multi-year value of $30 million, including all options.

The Army G-4 conducts detailed planning and oversees integrated logistics policies, programs, and plans in support of Army Force Generation missions to enable Army readiness. It is restoring and sustaining readiness, right-sizing inventories, optimizing Army pre-positioned stocks, delivering fully-integrated management information systems linking the institutional Army with the operational Army, and maintaining the capability to support expeditionary forces in a complex and uncertain global environment.

Battelle, which has decades of experience in designing, developing, and managing large-scale logistics modernization programs for all Department of Defense components, but particularly the Army, will conduct the work with three subcontractors that have extensive experience supporting G-4 requirements. They are: the Logistics Management Institute, a not-for-profit government consulting firm: Connected Logistics, a Department of Veterans Affairs-certified service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, and Quantum Research International, an independently owned company. The team's collective research, analytical, and business process reengineering support will provide the G-4 a sound basis to support Army leadership priorities for sustaining, preparing, resetting, and transforming the nation's Army to provide expeditionary, decisive land power to the Joint Forces.

"We are eager to begin working with the Army on this important contract and are uniquely suited to do so," said Michael J. Mannion, Business Leader for Logistics Lifecycle Analytics. "Battelle's supply chain management methodologies, diagnostics, and benchmarking tools will assist the G-4 make dramatic and rapid improvements in Army supply chain business processes."
