ATCO Gas once again - as it has since 1993 - will be focused on the safe, reliable, delivery of lost children to their worried parents at the Calgary Stampede.

The ATCO Gas Lost Kids program continues to be a valuable service to families with more than 40,000 wristbands distributed throughout the 10-day event. This program is part of ATCO's 75-year milestone partnership with the Calgary Stampede.

Kids and their parents can pick up wristbands and information cards from Lost Kids staff at ATCO Gas kiosks located at every Calgary Stampede entrance. The Lost Kids team diligently patrols the grounds and reunites kids with their parents at the ATCO Lost Kids Centre, a specially-equipped ATCO trailer that features toys and activities to help settle nerves as kids wait.

Every year, dozens of ATCO Gas employees volunteer in a 'Day of Caring' on the Stampede's Kids' Day, where more than 35,000 people come through the gates before 9 a.m. ATCO volunteers provide much needed and helpful resources to the Lost Kids Patrol, ensuring the tens of thousands of kids who come through the gates receive wristbands and parents receive information on the program. Kids' Day is on Wed. July 8.

"Safety has always been a core value at ATCO Gas and it is a key reason behind our sponsorship support of the Lost Kids program," said Bill Stephens, President, ATCO Gas. "Our commitment to safety is present whether it is our employees on the job, working or living in our communities or supporting community partnerships like the Calgary Stampede."

Families and their children are also encouraged to learn about energy by touring the ATCO Energy Education Mobile. Developed by ATCO EnergySense in consultation with Alberta teachers, the 40-foot classroom on wheels travels throughout Alberta bringing a one-of-a-kind learning experience directly to schools and communities. The Energy Education Mobile educates visitors about Alberta's energy resources and energy efficiency through fun and interactive activities. Visit the Energy Education Mobile just in front of the Scotiabank Saddledome at the entrance to 'The Great Funtier'.
