Bayshore Networks(R) Announces Version 6.0 of the Bayshore Industrial Cybersecurity Platform

Major Release Is Cloud-Ready and Optimized for High-Throughput Performance in Global Industrial Environments

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2015) - AT&T CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE - Bayshore Networks®, the cybersecurity leader for the Industrial Internet of Things, announced version 6 of the Bayshore IT/OT Gateway™ cybersecurity platform. The announcement was made today at the 17th Annual AT&T Cybersecurity Conference being held this week at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.

Bayshore v6 is cloud-ready, SDN-ready, NFV-ready and optimized for performance in Operational Technology (OT) environments, including manufacturing automation, utilities, and oil and gas. It is designed to block machine-specific attacks originating from either internal or cloud-based sources. The v6 architecture completely separates the control plane and data plane functions, optimizing performance of the Bayshore software on Bayshore and third-party virtual and hardware platforms. The optimizations enable the platform to provide network stream inspection and filtration at throughputs up to 40 Gbps.

"There is a chasm that exists between OT and IT especially when it comes to the millions, if not billions, of connected 'things' in IoT," said Christina Richmond, Program Director, Worldwide Security Services for IDC. "Solutions must have both policy and management that is useful and usable by both teams. In addition, solutions that are built on SaaS and managed in the cloud are a fast growing segment of cloud security. IDC defines these types of solutions as cloud hosted enterprise security solutions or "CHESS" and predicts that the market will grow to $5.9 billion in 2019 with a growth rate of over 11 percent in five years."

"Our global industrial enterprise customers requested optimizations to the platform that would reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining the highest standard of cybersecurity protection and operational efficiency," said Francis Cianfrocca, Founder & CEO of Bayshore Networks. "With Bayshore v6 we have delivered a highly scalable policy platform that further reduces resource costs and consumption, which will have an immediate impact on our customers' bottom line."
