Bombardier Business Aircraft's Wichita Service Centre added to the Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Centre (ASC) Network

- Authorization enables Wichita Service Centre to perform maintenance on BR710 engines installed on Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft

- All seven Bombardier Business Aircraft Service Centres now Rolls-Royce authorized


MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 13, 2015) - Bombardier Business Aircraft is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned Wichita Service Centre has received Rolls-Royce certification and is now a part of the Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Centre Network (ASC). This authorization enables the Wichita Service Centre to perform maintenance on BR710 engines installed on Bombardier Global Express, Global Express XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000 aircraft.

All of Bombardier Business Aircraft Service Centres are now Rolls-Royce authorized, enabling Bombardier and Rolls-Royce to jointly provide seamless support to CorporateCare® customers. Bombardier Business Aircraft Service Centres and Bombardier operators are provided with direct access to Rolls-Royce technical service representatives, as well as Rolls-Royce's myaeroengine.com portal for support and technical troubleshooting.

Wichita's dedicated Service Centre staff of nearly 250 is equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as interior modifications, avionics installations and provide Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support for Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft. In April, the facility expanded with an addition of 38,000 square feet (3,550 square metres) of hangar space, bringing its total square footage to 113,000 (10,500 square metres) and enabling the facility to service more aircraft, including Global aircraft. The Service Centre has received certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Bermuda, Mexico and Venezuela. The Centre is also authorized by General Electric, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins and now Rolls-Royce.

Located at the Learjet site in Wichita, Kansas, this Service Centre is one of seven wholly-owned Bombardier Business Aircraft Service Centres that comprise its maintenance network, which includes Dallas, Hartford, Fort Lauderdale and Tucson in the United States; Amsterdam, Netherlands and Singapore, as well as a line maintenance station in Nice, France and a total of 15 Customer Response Team mobile units worldwide.
