Marquee Energy Announces Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - December 01, 2015) - Marquee Energy Ltd. ("Marquee" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: MQL) is pleased to announce that Dan Toews has been appointed Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") and Vice President Finance, effective immediately.

With over 27 years of industry experience, Mr. Toews brings considerable financial acumen to the CFO role at Marquee. Dan is a Commerce graduate of the University of Calgary and a registered Chartered Accountant. His career began at a major international accounting firm, before continuing into the junior oil and gas industry. Mr. Toews served as Controller and Treasurer of Crescent Point, followed by executive roles with Peerless Energy and Pinecrest Energy, as CFO and VP Finance. Dan also brings substantial operational and capital markets experience to bear, to further strengthen Marquee's executive team.

In conjunction with his appointment, pursuant to the Company's stock option plan, Marquee has granted Mr. Toews an aggregate of 400,000 options ("Options") to purchase common shares in the capital of the Company. The Options are exercisable for a period of five years and vest in one quarter (1/4) increments on the first, second, third and fourth anniversaries from the date of the grant. The exercise price of the options will be the closing price of the common shares of Marquee on the TSX Venture Exchange on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. The option grants are subject to the approval of, and the Company fulfilling the requirements of the TSX Venture Exchange.
