Kevin Daly Appointed President of Zynx Health

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - January 19, 2016) - Kevin Daly has been named president of Zynx Health, a provider of clinical care information, analytics and software to hospitals and other healthcare providers. The announcement was made by Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz, Hearst Business Media President Richard P. Malloch, and Hearst Health President Gregory Dorn, MD. Zynx Health is part of the Hearst Health network. The appointment is effective immediately.

In this role, Daly has responsibility for all strategic and operational functions for Zynx Health. Zynx offers leading order set and plan of care solutions for healthcare organizations, as well as innovative technologies that include an analytics and machine learning solution that identifies variations in care, and ZynxCarebook, a breakthrough mobile application for care coordination.

"Zynx holds a key position among the Hearst Health companies -- for more than a decade, it has expanded Hearst's position in healthcare," Malloch said. "Under Kevin's leadership, Zynx will continue to find new ways to deliver vital information into the hands of everyone that touches a person's care."

"Kevin has an exceptional entrepreneurial track record, proven leadership, and strong operational skills, so it gives me great pleasure to announce his appointment as Zynx's new president," Dorn said. "Zynx has terrific growth opportunities ahead and Kevin is the right leader to drive the business into its next phase of expansion."

Prior to joining Hearst Health upon the acquisition of MCG in 2012, Daly served as the commercial leader for MCG and was instrumental in building the MCG business from its earliest days. In his 10-year tenure, Daly helped to build customer-facing functions at MCG, including sales, government programs and account management. Named Equity Principal in 2011, Daly was instrumental in the overall management and direction of the business, which experienced significant year-over-year growth.

Daly has also held commercial leadership roles with McKesson's decision support analytics and medical management offerings. He began his career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, serving in various information technology and customer support leadership roles.

"The Zynx team is a strong group of professionals who are committed to the company and its mission," Daly said. "We have an opportunity to do more great work, and I am confident in the team, the business and its potential. I am excited about the possibilities."
