BCG's Expand Research Names Amy Tsui Luke North America CEO

Luke Will Assume the New Role to Drive Growth in the North American Operations of BCG's Global Financial Services Research and Benchmarking Arm

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 24, 2016) - Expand Research, a company of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) that provides research and benchmarking services for the world's leading financial institutions, has hired Amy Tsui Luke as a partner and CEO to lead its North American operations. She will be based in New York.

Luke brings more than two decades of experience in the consulting, banking, and media industries. She began her career as an investment banker at CS First Boston before becoming a consultant in BCG's Boston and New York offices. She also served on the management team of Forbes and as a managing director in Accenture's Capital Markets practice.

Most recently, Luke was a managing director at BCG Platinion, another BCG subsidiary, which provides technology architecture, implementation, digital, and risk services.

"Having started my career at BCG over 20 years ago, it has been exciting to witness the firm's tremendous growth and expansion into more specialized areas," Luke said. "I am energized by the potential of the Expand platform to help our financial services clients understand their competitive performance and drive greater profitability, especially during these unprecedented market challenges."

Expand Research delivers unique decision support and research services to CEOs, CIOs, and their executive teams, enabling the development and execution of strategies. Serving the investment banking, wealth and asset management, corporate and transaction banking, and retail banking industries, Expand provides independent, impartial, and anonymous benchmarks of firms' business, operations, and technology performance relative to peers. The company became a wholly owned subsidiary in 2015, four years after BCG acquired a majority stake.

"We are delighted to have Amy on board as Expand's new North American CEO," said Charles Teschner, leader of BCG's North America Capital Markets practice. "She brings deep financial services knowledge and valuable management experience, both of which will be critical to accelerating Expand's growth. Her long history with BCG also will ensure that we serve our clients seamlessly across all of BCG's entities and capabilities."

Outside of her corporate roles, Luke serves on the board of directors of the Harvard Business School Women's Association of Greater New York, Komen for the Cure of Greater New York, the Harvard Kennedy School Women's Leadership Board, and Global Citizens Initiative.

Luke holds a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a BA in political science, with honors, from Wellesley College.
