Objectivity Announces New ThingSpan Graph Analytics Capabilities

Objectivity Releases Powerful New Graph Analytics Features at Strata + Hadoop World; Booth #551

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - September 28, 2016) - Objectivity, Inc. announced at Strata + Hadoop World 2016 a major new component of its ThingSpan™ graph analytics platform. This new feature makes it easier for ThingSpan users to accelerate the time-to-insight of their Big Data applications running in private clusters or in the cloud.

"Objectivity's ThingSpan is an enterprise-grade, distributed graph platform for analytics and relationship discovery at speed and scale," said Brian Clark, VP of Products at Objectivity, Inc. "Today at Strata + Hadoop World we are announcing and demonstrating new components for ThingSpan and enhancements to the underlying graph navigation and pathfinding."

ThingSpan's newest feature, DO, is a powerful declarative graph query and manipulation language that combines the best concepts from preceding graph query languages, such as LINQ, SparQL and Cypher. DO enables discovery of connections and insights that users may not have otherwise identified. DO can be run within Spark environments and alongside components such as Kafka, YARN, SQL and MLlib.

"This new feature and release of ThingSpan further extends our enterprise, complex relationship discover capabilities for advanced graph applications within use cases such as banking, trading optimization, fraud detection, and supply chain optimization," said Jay Jarrell, President and CEO of Objectivity, Inc. "ThingSpan's DO is a significant improvement over existing graph query languages and enhances the user experience to make it easier for users to find new value in their data."

Objectivity is demonstrating DO's capabilities within a large scale, complex transaction based use case at Strata + Hadoop World. DO enables value based queries as well as complex graph queries within the data and subgraphs in order to find similarities to make better decisions.
