  • Isilon Systems Alum Pearl Chan appointed CFO
  • MobileIron and AT&T Alum Dan Pagel named VP of Sales for North America
  • Security Executive and Former Sophos CEO Steve Munford named Board Member

NetMotion Software, a leading provider of Mobile Performance Management software, today announced the appointment of Pearl Chan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Dan Pagel as Vice President of Sales for North America and Steve Munford to its Board of Directors. Ms. Chan, who helped lead Isilon Systems through its Initial Public Offering (IPO), is responsible for NetMotion's global financial operations. Mr. Pagel has been promoted from Sr. Director, Operator and Channel Sales, North America to VP Sales. Mr. Munford is currently Non-Executive Director at Sophos and brings extensive security experience to the board. The appointments strengthen NetMotion's leadership team as the company sees increasing demand for its mobile connectivity and field productivity solutions.

"Ms. Chan, Mr. Pagel and Mr. Munford are all incredibly experienced executives who understand how to help companies scale," said Christopher Kenessey, CEO of NetMotion Software. "There is an urgent need among enterprises for solutions that can help them compete and better serve their customers in an increasingly mobile world. Ms. Chan, Mr. Pagel and Mr. Munford bring unique skills and a depth of knowledge that will help us as we accelerate our growth and expand our market presence."

Ms. Chan was previously Managing Member of PMChan PLLC, a CFO consulting practice for venture-backed emerging technology companies. As CFO of Cheezburger, she assisted in closing $30MM in Series A financing. In her Corporate Controller and Corporate Treasurer role at Isilon Systems, Chan was instrumental in completing the company's IPO in December 2006. She managed Isilon's growth from $8 million to a $1 billion valuation over a six-year period.

"I am excited to join NetMotion as it moves into its next phase of growth," said Ms. Chan. "The quality of their product, strength of their leadership team and passion for serving customers is second to none."

Mr. Pagel previously led carrier and channel sales and strategic partnerships in North America for NetMotion. Prior to NetMotion, he led government sales at mobile device management (MDM) and enterprise mobility software provider MobileIron. Mr. Pagel was also previously sales manager at AT&T where he led a team of sales staff and implemented strategies to increase sales across the AT&T portfolio.

"I feel fortunate to work with so many talented, passionate professionals at NetMotion," said Mr. Pagel. "Their experience, knowledge and dependability are just some of the reasons customers choose our products and stay customers for the long-term. I look forward to harnessing these strengths to rapidly grow our customer base in North America."

Mr. Munford served as Sophos' CEO from 2006 to 2012. During that time, he led the company through a period of dramatic growth, more than tripling bookings. Prior to his role as CEO, Steve served as President of Sophos for North America and then became Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the day-to-day running of the company and its senior management team. Previously, he was President of ActiveState before its acquisition by Sophos in 2003. Under his leadership, ActiveState established itself as a global leader in email security software.

"NetMotion's track record for increasing operational efficiency, security and end-user productivity for mobile enterprises throughout the world is a significant achievement," said Mr. Munford. "There is a ubiquitous need for a solution like NetMotion's, and I'm honored to champion their success as a Board Member."
