Bombardier Transportation Appoints Oscar Vazquez as Country Managing Director and Chairman of the Board in Spain

Rail technology leader Bombardier Transportation has appointed Oscar Vázquez as Country Managing Director and Chairman of the Spanish Management Board for Spain. The designation follows the resignation of Álvaro Rengifo, who has decided to step down for personal reasons. Rengifo will continue to support Bombardier's business in Spain in an advisory role.

As the new Bombardier country representative, Vázquez commented, "It is with pride that I take on this important challenge, which I look forward to with enthusiasm. As the highest representative of Bombardier in Spain, Vázquez will take over these roles in addition to his duties as Project Portfolio Head for Continental Europe and Metro Application.

Along the past 16 years, Vázquez has held different senior positions in Spain, England, Austria, Singapore and Switzerland, as member of the management teams of several business units in Bombardier Transportation. Vázquez has an in-depth understanding of the business that will support the development of the Spanish market and bring the region's mobility to the next level. Vázquez is Industrial Engineer and holds an EMBA from IESE Business School, University of Navarra's IESE.
