MITRE Names Jacklyn Wynn VP, Veterans Affairs


MCLEAN, VA and BEDFORD, MA--(Marketwired - May 19, 2017) - The MITRE Corporation is pleased to announce that Jacklyn Mitchell Wynn has joined the leadership of The Center for Connected Government (CCG) as a Vice President and Director, leading the Department of Veterans Affairs Portfolio in the Center for Enterprise Modernization FFRDC.

MITRE operates seven federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs), including CEM, which is sponsored by the Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service and co-sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Before joining MITRE, Wynn was Vice President for Strategy and Market Development leading the Global Public Sector Team at RSA, the security division of Dell Technologies. Wynn developed and executed integrated cyber strategies through business process, coordination, and implementation of strategic projects and partnerships. She also held leadership positions at EMC, as Vice President of Global Residency Practice, and Hewlett-Packard, where she was Vice President for Global Business Operations and Support Services.

LaVerne Council, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MITRE's Center for Connected Government, said Wynn's experience in the global market supports MITRE's focus on innovation in its national and international work. "Jackie's decades of experience in IT, acquisition strategy and global business development will serve MITRE's goal to bring its sponsors innovative solutions at a fast pace," said Council.

Wynn serves on the Executive Board for the National Center for Children and Families (NCCF), which works to advance the policy, education, and development of children and their families through community support, education and training, volunteerism, and social advocacy. In addition to NCCF, she has served on the Howard University Industrial Advisory Board, as well as the boards of the Association for Minorities in Engineering and the Black Data Processors Association, which awarded her the 2006 Epsilon Award for Career Achievement. She was a founding member of Hewlett Packard's African American Executive Leadership Forum.

Wynn has received the Fed 100 Achievement Award, the Women in Technology Distinguished Achiever Award, and the Women of Color in Technology Distinguished Achiever Award. She was named among the Top 100 Executives by Uptown Professional/NAACP and Top 100 Blacks in Corporate America.

She holds bachelor's degrees in economics and math from the University of Denver and an MBA in finance and accounting from the Simon Graduate School of Business at The University of Rochester. She also participated in executive leadership programs at Babson College, the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Anderson School of Business at the University of California Los Angeles.
