Escape from the Federal Training Centre - minimum security unit


LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 21, 2017) - Correctional Service Canada

On July 20, 2017, at the 10:45 p.m. count in the minimum security unit of the Federal Training Centre, staff members discovered that inmate Luc Paquette was not accounted for.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Laval Police Service, the Terrebonne Police Service and the Sûreté du Québec and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Luc Paquette, 52 years old, measures 173 cm (5'8") in height and weighs 98 kg (217 lbs). He has a fair complexion, brown eyes and gray hair. He has many tattoos: "Nathalie and Playboy" written in the abdomen, pattern on the right arm, tribal tattoo in his back and left arm, a heart with flower on the right of his chest and a red playboy on the left of his chest.

He is currently serving a sentence of 2 years and 8 months for Arson, Possession of incendiary materials, Possession of property obtained by crime, Theft, Failure to comply with a probation order and Possession of break-in instruments.

He also served sentences for Robbery, Disguise for criminal purposes, Use of firearm, Possession of firearm and Failure to comply with a probation order.

Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Luc Paquette is asked to contact police.

CSC will investigate the circumstances of this incident and is working with the police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all of the information available to help arrest the inmate.
