Pioneering Technology Completes First Installation of New Product at U.S. Ivey League University

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 11, 2017) - Pioneering Technology Corporation (TSX VENTURE:PTE)(OTC:PTEFF), ("Pioneering" or the "Company"), a technology company and North America's leader in cooking fire prevention technologies and products is pleased to announce today the successful installation of its latest cooking fire prevention solution.

This new Pioneering branded product, which was installed in a prominent Ivey League school, includes Innohome OY's ("Innohome") award winning heat sensor technology (see Pioneering's June 8, 2017 release) and is an excellent complement to Pioneering's expanding family of cooking fire prevention solutions. This new product provides yet another product solution to customers focused on protecting lives and property and reducing the costs associated with the multi-billion-dollar problem of cooking fires.

This new aftermarket product solution will be available for electric ranges through Pioneering's existing customer base and distribution network. Plans for a retail strategy are in development.

The intelligent heat sensor technology has been engineered to first alert users to imminent cooking fire danger through a low frequency alarm, and then, if the stovetop remains unattended, shut the stove off to help prevent a cooking fire. This advanced technology includes two different types of heat sensors that both measure excessive temperatures and the rate of temperature change.
