Spector, Roseman & Kodroff, P.C. Announces Class Action Lawsuit Against Covad Communications

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 1, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Spector, Roseman & Kodroff, P.C. has filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, on behalf of all persons who purchased Covad Communications ("Covad" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:COVD) securities between September 7, 2000 and October 17, 2000 (the "Class Period"), including those who acquired Covad shares in connection with Covad's acquisition of BlueStar Communications Corp. and those who acquired Covad convertible senior notes.

Covad provides dedicated high-speed digital communications services using digital subscriber line technology to Internet service providers and enterprise customers. The complaint alleges that the defendants violated Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5 by, among other things, misrepresenting the revenues that Covad was deriving from its newly acquired BlueStar business.

If you are a member of the Class described, you may, no later than December 20, 2000, move the Court to serve as lead plaintiff for the Class, if you so choose.
