Haiku Deck Beats PowerPoint to the Punch With Redesigned Presentation App for iPad

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - March 07, 2013) - Haiku Deck today announced a new version of its free presentation app for iPad, designed to transform presentation creation and sharing for a wide range of business users.

Haiku Deck launched to broad consumer and critical acclaim in August 2012 and has ranked #1 in productivity in 36 markets around the world. The Seattle-based company has issued several updates since its launch, but today's release represents a significant leap forward in terms of business-focused features and functionality.

"We already have a huge community of people using Haiku Deck to close sales, pitch their products, and create rich content. The number of people using their iPads for work is growing, and we saw an opportunity to keep infusing productivity software with fresh thinking. By adding charts, graphs, lists, and other features, while keeping our focus on simplicity and beauty, we're making it more fun than ever to share an idea or tell an amazing story," said Adam Tratt, founder and CEO of Haiku Deck.

New Features in Haiku Deck 2.0

Charts and graphs: Haiku Deck now includes the ability to create pie charts, bar graphs, and stat charts. Intuitive drag-to-edit controls and automatic color palettes make it simple and fun to present data beautifully.

Lists: Haiku Deck's signature palette of slide layouts, formulated to encourage best practices in presentation design, now includes bulleted or numbered lists of up to 5 items. The app automatically adjusts line spacing, text size, placement, and formatting.

Improved image management: Haiku Deck's integrated image search puts 35 million free, high-quality, Creative Commons-licensed photos at your fingertips. Haiku Deck 2.0 offers intuitive zoom, crop, and drag controls for greater control over image size and positioning. Import pictures from the iPad camera roll or from Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr, Google Drive, or Picasa with the upgraded image picker.

Integrated privacy controls and sharing: Haiku Deck 2.0 features an all-new publishing interface that puts privacy controls front and center and makes it easy to share presentations via email, social networks, and blog embeds.

Copy decks: Haiku Deck already saves business users so much time that Walt Mossberg once commented the app would raise the national GDP, but pitches and presentations can now be easily modified for a new client, event, or meeting. Just tap and hold from the main screen to copy a deck.

Advanced features on Publishing Haiku Decks to the web makes them accessible via any web-enabled device and unlocks powerful advanced features such as analytics, notes, downloadable PDF handouts, and seamless sharing across top social networks.
