Swiftpage and KidsTek Partner to Aid the Next Generation of Denver Entrepreneurs

Companies Announce Weeklong "Swiftie.U" Summer Camp for Local Area High School and High Tech Early College Students

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - Jun 3, 2014) - Swiftpage, a leading provider of integrated marketing and CRM solutions for individuals, growing businesses and mobile sales teams, today announced it has formed a joint community education and outreach partnership with Denver-based non-profit KidsTek.

The two organizations will combine their expertise to offer a wide-range of small business growth educational opportunities, on a complimentary basis, to the next generation of business and IT professionals in the Denver and Boulder metro area.

As a first step in their collaboration, the two companies will host the first annual Swiftie.U (pronounced "Swiftie dot U") weeklong summer camp for high school juniors and seniors. This year, students from the Denver Public School District, specifically High Tech Early College and North High School will form the inaugural class.

The camp, which is designed to provide real-world training on marketing, sales and business management skills in a fun, team-based environment, is scheduled for the week of July 7th and will be held at the Swiftpage headquarters in downtown Denver.

The camp will culminate in an award ceremony at which Swiftpage and KidsTek management will award one student, or group of students, with a scholarship that can be applied towards their secondary education.

"Here at Swiftpage, we admire what the great people over at KidsTek have been doing with Colorado's youth for many years; partnering with them seemed like a natural fit," said H. John Oechsle, president and CEO of Swiftpage. "'Swiftie.U' will allow students to experience what it means to be a Swiftie -- have fun and be innovative, entrepreneurial and passionate, while developing useful skills in a real-world corporate setting as they prepare to move into the next phases of their education or employment."

"We are tremendously excited to be partnering with Swiftpage on Swiftie.U and future activities," said Richard Liner, executive director and founder of KidsTek. "The way the curriculum/program is set up, Swiftie.U will allow our students to expand upon the things they are already learning in our KidsTek programs and apply them to real world situations, and in this case, within a fun, corporate setting."

Each day of the camp starts with a group lunch, where the students will be joined by a member of the Swiftpage Executive Leadership Team who will introduce and lead a discussion on the topic/theme for the day.

Following the lunch, Swiftpage and KidsTek experts will teach students a set of key skills based on the theme of the day, followed by hands-on time to put the education into action.

The remainder of the day will be dedicated to giving students time to develop their group projects. At this daily free-work session, the students will use all of the skills they learn during the week to design and implement actual emarketing campaigns focused on growing their envisioned startup businesses.

Each student will be given a complimentary subscription to Act! Cloud, Swiftpage's cloud-based contact management and emarketing solution, to create, send and track the success of their emarketing campaigns.

At the end of the week, the students will present their projects to a group of Swiftpage and KidsTek executives, including their instructors from the week. The student or group receiving the highest score from the judges will be awarded the annual Swiftie.U scholarship.

The two companies plan on hosting Swiftie.U, annually, as well as collaborating on additional activities to promote and foster a love of technology and entrepreneurialism for our youth here in the Denver community.
