Health Journey Support Website Wins Awards, Educates Patients

Health Journey Support Provides Doctors and Patients With Information About Chronic Health Problems

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - June 02, 2015) - The newly updated Health Journey Support website, created by Nucleus Medical Media for AstraZeneca, a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of prescription medicines, features medical information for patients and their families related to chronic health problems. The website went live in September 2014 and has been earning awards and accolades since. It has also become a resource for doctors and patients seeking understandable information related to asthma, COPD, heart health, mental health, and diabetes.

"What makes HealthJourneySupport.com unique is that it allows healthcare practitioners to choose the most appropriate patient education materials for a specific patient," said Dave Bialek, Executive Director of Customer Strategy and Programs at AstraZeneca. "The materials themselves allow patients to learn more about their conditions when and where it is convenient for them."

The new website helps patients and their families begin the journey towards better health management. Information about diagnosis, treatment options, and health management is provided. Visitors to the website are able to watch educational videos and download brochures. Additionally, the innovative "share-package" email option allows providers, patients, and caregivers an easy way to share the documents and videos on the website.

Awards earned by Health Journey Support include the 2014 Pharma Choice Bronze Award and the 2015 IMA's Outstanding Achievement Award. An animation created for the website, titled "Brain and Mental Health," won a 2015 Silver Communicator Award. The website was also featured in PharmaVOICE magazine's Innovator Issue in April 2015.

"The Nucleus team is thrilled to work with AstraZeneca in bringing this website to patients in the U.S.," said Ron Collins, the CEO and co-founder of Nucleus Medical Media.

Currently, the site features information related to heart health, diabetes, COPD, asthma, and mental health in three languages. Additional languages and health conditions will continue to be added to the site in future updates.
