VIQ Solutions Announces Expansion of Scottish Court Service Project

MARKHAM, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 3, 2016) - VIQ Solutions Inc. ("VIQ", "VIQ Solutions" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:VQS) is pleased to announce that the Scottish Court Service, an enterprise-level VIQ customer since 2013, is expanding their VIQ digital recording, management and collaboration solution to additional courtrooms across Scotland after a third-party technology review.

The independent review examined all technology in use at the courts across Scotland, including the VIQ platform, and was performed by AVMI, a global audio visual and managed services integrator. After stringent evaluation, including an examination of competitive solutions, VIQ was confirmed as the best provider for the secure digital capture and management of audio and evidence for the Scottish Court Service.

Scottish Court Service uses multiple regional servers to manage and facilitate workflow and one national server that functions as a secure countrywide central repository for all audio and associated evidence. The Scottish Courts are also using VIQ's NetScribe web-based transcription workflow to expedite their transcription process.

The expansion will bring the number of courtrooms operating the VIQ software to nearly 200, with the system securely managing the capture, routing and storage of tens of thousands of cases a year.
