SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - August 10, 2016) - World Maker Faire, the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth, will bring over 950 innovative Makers together to interact with Making enthusiasts of all ages and interests at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, NY, on Saturday & Sunday, October 1 & 2. These Makers represent the best and brightest of the Maker Movement, showcasing work that is original, cutting-edge, creative, inspiring-and most importantly, imagined and brought to life by the Maker themselves. Attendees can experience this DIY mindset first-hand as they meet and engage with the Makers through conversation and hands-on activities, gaining new skills and motivation for themselves.
"Organizing World Maker Faire in ways that attendees can absorb all that it has to offer is important to us," said Sherry Huss, co-founder of Maker Faire and vice president of Maker Media. "These areas will include sustainability, 3D printing, health science and technology projects, wearables, drones, electronics, robotics, Young Makers, arts and crafts, music, and others. Attendees will be able to locate the specific Makers they're looking for as well as find new Makers and projects that will energize them, growing their own DIY mindset. There will also be several large fan-favorite attractions and art installations on hand for everyone to enjoy as they make their way around the Faire."
All Makers can be found on the Maker Faire web site at http://makerfaire.com/new-york-2016/meet-the-makers. Highlights of World Maker Faire New York 2016 include:
