Project X Labs Launches North American Weather Data Feed

Plan better for weather with historical and forecasted data

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - June 07, 2017) - Project X Labs is pleased to announce the release of a North American weather data feed as a subscription service. Plan better for weather by gaining valuable insight into your organization's weather-related performance from up to the past seven years, and plan for the week ahead with an eight-day forecast. Owning this data feed allows you to add context to your data enabling you to make strategic decisions.

The weather data provides historical weather data refreshed daily, and the forecast weather data refreshed every four hours. Weather readings can be mapped down to the post or ZIP code, and include readings for: temperature, humidity, precipitation levels and type, wind conditions and cloud cover. While many weather-related business strategies are obvious, small variances in precipitation or temperature might drastically affect your business, and our weather feed can help you discover those hidden insights.

Users can create algorithms to discover new weather-related trends that were not otherwise apparent. Use weather data to normalize performance data against spikes or dips related to weather, optimize your resources to prevent waste, and set alerts relating to the forecast to plan actions for the week ahead. Weather data can also be visualized on a map-based location intelligence tool such as GeoDash 4™.

"Weather impacts every organization, and historical data can help you discover important trends," said Stephen Hayward, president of Project X Labs. "An increase of a couple degrees can convince buyers to buy one beer over another, or send more people to the ER. With the launch of our weather feed, it is our goal to help people understand the impact weather has on their organization, and assist them in modifying their planning for the future."
