TenXc Wireless Announces Pakistan Development Centre With Coherent Designs to Accelerate Advanced Wireless Systems

OTTAWA, CANADA and ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN -- January 24, 2007 -- TenXc Wireless Inc., an innovator in Intelligent Radio Frequency solutions for enhanced wireless networks, and Coherent Designs Pvt. today announced the establishment of a joint development center in Islamabad, Pakistan. The new development Center expands TenXc's existing research and development capabilities and will play an integral role in the development of evolving fourth generation (4G) access systems such as mobile WiMAX and 3GPP LTE with combined MIMO/AAS technology.

"This is a significant step for us as our business expands internationally and we grow our development strength", said Joe Hickey, President and CEO of TenXc Wireless. "With a rapidly growing wireless industry and early lead in global mobile WiMAX deployments, Pakistan makes a natural choice as the site of our first external development operation outside North American. The demand we're experiencing throughout the region for our current Intelligent RF products, demonstrates the leading role countries such as Pakistan are playing on the path to mobile broadband."

The Center's engineering team will collaborate closely with TenXc's research and development team in Canada on joint design and development of enhanced wireless access subsystems. As an integral part of TenXc's product development program, the Center will primarily focus on the implementation of TenXc's spatial processing algorithms in DSP and FPGA platforms.

"To deliver on the full performance promise of 4G systems, combining Adaptive Beamforming with MIMO technology for maximum spatial processing gains is essential," said Dr. Al Javed, Chief Technology Officer of TenXc Wireless. "The establishment of this Center and access to Pakistan's growing pool of top technical talent will significantly accelerate TenXc's product development to enable advanced wireless systems which meet operator performance requirements for mobile broadband services."

"TenXc Wireless shares our dedication to being at the forefront of 4G wireless systems development," said Dr. Avais Kamal, CEO of Coherent Designs. "This collaboration provides a great development opportunity to Coherent Designs' highly dynamic and innovative design team and will enhance our growth and expertise in international development."
