$100,000 Innovation Awards to Be Announced at EduComm 2011

Award Program Will Recognize Individuals and Institutions Changing Higher Education

NORWALK, CT--(Marketwire - February 15, 2011) - University Business magazine announced today that the winners of the 1st Annual AMX Innovation Awards at EduComm will be announced at EduComm 2011, on June 15.

The University Business Leadership Institute established The AMX Innovation Awards in January 2011 as an exclusive awards program to recognize innovative higher education accomplishment and practices. The program is sponsored by AMX and the AMX Education Alliance.

The AMX Innovation Awards at EduComm will recognize an individual recipient from a member institution of the AMX Education Alliance (or a member institution as a whole) in the following categories:

Automation and Control -- for the most innovative use of automation and control systems in learning environments. AMX will provide a prize of $25,000 in technology and equipment to the winner of this award.

Collaboration Initiatives -- for the most innovative collaboration practices in higher education. AMX will provide a prize of $25,000 in technology and equipment to the winner of this award.

The New Learning Space Award -- for the most innovative new learning space implementations in higher education. AMX will provide a prize of $50,000 in technology and equipment to the winner.
