11th Annual Big Dog Parade Benefits Big Dog Causes

Tori Spelling Leads Parade with Grand Marshal Much Love Animal Rescue

Santa Barbara, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 3, 2005 -- From dogs dressed in hilarious costumes and marching bands to fun floats and great prizes, the 11th Annual Big Dog Parade and Canine Festival has it all. The event, to be held on Saturday, June 4, will feature over 1,000 dogs as they parade down State Street in Santa Barbara, California, with their owners to raise money for the Big Dog Foundation.

Actress Tori Spelling will lead the Big Dog Parade with Grand Marshal Much Love Animal Rescue. Much Love Animal Rescue is a Los Angeles-based animal shelter whose heroic cause is rescuing animals on death row from other shelters. Spelling will be joined by 90210 co-star Tiffani Thiessen, who will participate in the event as a celebrity judge.

"We are very excited about this year's parade -- it is like Mardi Gras for dogs," said David Wolf, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Big Dogs. "It is a fantastic event for the whole family and will feature dogs in hilarious costumes, live entertainment, and great prizes. The fun-filled day is a great way to help raise funds to support worthy charitable causes that focus on children and dogs."

All proceeds from the Big Dog Parade and Canine Festival are donated to the Big Dog Foundation. The Big Dog Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, supports charities helping DOGS, CHILDREN, AND DOGS THAT HELP PEOPLE. As the Foundation's largest fundraiser, The Big Dog Parade and Canine Festival's previous recipients have included the Children's Burn Center, Guide Dogs of America, D.A.W.G., Make-A-Wish Foundation and many other charitable organizations.
